Pardon our dust — Carissa's Collection is a work in progress, with new pieces and stories added regularly.
Beautiful old things, honestly described.
Carissa's Collection is a Pacific Northwest shop for vintage jewelry, storied textiles, and curiosities. Every piece is researched, tested, cleaned, and sold with its story.
Jewelry
Rings, necklaces, brooches, and the occasional mystery stone. All vintage or antique, all honestly described.
Textiles and clothing
Fabric and garments with past lives, from antique linens to handmade and upcycled pieces.
Curiosities
Ancient artifacts, clearly labeled replicas, scientific glass, silver, and the wonderfully odd.
How I work
I research every piece, test materials when it matters, report condition honestly, and clean everything before it ships. When I do not know something, I say so. Each listing is a dossier, not a sales pitch.
Every piece has a story.
My job is tracking it down.
I'm Carissa, and Carissa's Collection is where my magpie instincts became a business. I hunt down vintage and antique jewelry, textiles and clothing with past lives, and curiosities that range from ancient bronze to glowing uranium glass. Some pieces come from estate sales and auctions. Some practically find me. Every one of them gets researched, tested, honestly described, and thoroughly cleaned before it is listed.
I am as interested in the mystery as the merchandise. A color-shifting stone that might be alexandrite or might be spinel? I will get the refractometer and find out. A bronze clasp made 2,400 years ago on the Eurasian steppe? I will tell you what it is, where it comes from, and what was happening in the world when it was new. And when I do not know something yet, I will tell you that too.
Three collections, one standard:
Jewelry: vintage and antique pieces, from everyday wear to the strange and spectacular.
Textiles and clothing: fabric and garments with history, including handmade and upcycled work.
Curiosities: artifacts and honest replicas (always labeled as what they are), scientific glass, silver, and the wonderfully odd.
If you buy from me, you get the full story along with the object. That is the whole point.
